Spain and Croatia locked horns in the final of the UEFA Nations League 2023 at the De Kuip Stadium in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Both teams played a very tough match and gave a tough fight to each other in this title clash for the coveted title of the UEFA Nations League.
The regular time of the 90 minutes in the match went goalless for both the teams and they had to wait till the penalty shootout to find out the winner of the match. Eventually, it was the Spanish side who emerged victorious in the end and lifted the title of the UEFA Nations League’s 2023 edition.

Talking about the action of the match, Spain was quite dominant over Croatia in most of the parts of the match during the regular time of 90 minutes including the injury time as well. Spain smashed 21 shots in comparison to Croatia’s 12 shots. Although Croatia had more shots on target than Spain; the former went on to hit 5 shots on target whereas the 2010 FIFA World Cup winners could hit only 2 shots on target in this title clash.
Spain ended up having an upper hand in the ball possession during the entire match as they have 55% of possession with them at the time of the last whistle in comparison to the 45% possessed by Croatia.
Both teams ended up in a tie over the battle of pass accuracy as it was 85% for both Spain and Croatia.
The regular time including the injury time ended up without any score, but eventually, Spain surpassed Croatia in the penalty shootout by a margin of one goal and won the shootouts by 5-4 to win the historic title of the UEFA Nations League 2023.
