After having won the first match quite comfortably, India clashed with South Africa in the second to put the series to a premature end. South Africa invited India to set up a target and what followed was carnage from the Indian batters at the Guwahati stadium.
KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma started the proceedings with shots all around the ground and took the team to 96 before the Indian captain departed at 43 in 37. The next batter Virat Kohli continued the charge with Rahul who soon departed for 57 off of 28.
It was Suryakumar Yadav however who hoarded all the limelight with his 61 from just 22 deliveries in the middle. The top scorer of 2022 in T20Is was, unfortunately, run out following a mixup with Kohli. At the end of the first inning, India were able to produce a whopping 237 runs on the board.
Coming to chase the humongous target, South Africa were again let down by their captain Temba Bavuma who was dismissed at a duck. Rilee Rossouw also left the team in limbo after getting out for a duck. Southpaw Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram took the South African team forward. After Markram was dismissed for 33, captain David Miller took charge of the chase and played till the end.
The two left-handers hit Indian bowlers all across the ground in a perfect batting masterclass under immense pressure. Miller clinched a sensational century in just 46 deliveries and was heavily supported by de Kock's unbeaten 69.
In the end, India won the match by 16 runs, but the Proteas chased all the way to 221/3 in 20 overs. Combined, the two teams made 458 runs in 40 overs in what was a bad day at the office for all bowlers. With this win, India have won the three-match T20I series by 2-0.

No one could beat South Africa in T20Is, it's captain Rohit Sharma and his team who did this that too without our main players like bumrah and Jadeja. @ImRo45 🐐
