On 18 January 2023, team India are going kick off another three-match ODI home series against New Zealand. But, players like KL Rahul and Axar Patel missed the squad of this series due to personal reasons. However, reports were there both these players have taken a rest for their marriage.
However, reports of KL Rahul getting married to the Bollywood actress, Athiya Shetty have been circulating since the last year. Hence, now, as quoted by Hindustan Times, the two are going to get married on January 23. All the preparation are going on at the Indian cricketer's Mumbai residence and that video has now gone viral.

Speaking of reports to Hindustan Times, a close source said: “Athiya’s closest female friends such as actor Akanksha Ranjan will be a part of this. It is an extremely close-knit family affair. Only friends and family members will be a part of the wedding. It’s most likely that you may not see many industry peeps.”
Reports also suggested that the wedding is going to be a three-day affair. The whole program will take place at Athiya’s father, actor Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala. It will begin with a ladies’ night on 21 January. On 23 January, they are going to get married. Recently. Both of them were seen together at the Mumbai airport. They were coming back from Dubai where Rahul and Athiya celebrated New Year’s evening together.
Speaking of KL Rahul, he made a comeback to the side during the Bangladesh tour after taking a rest from the New Zealand tour. In Bangladesh, he also captained the side in the two-match Test series. Then, he was not a part of the home T20I series against the Lankans. After that, KL Rahul played the whole ODI series at home against Sri Lanka. In that series, he scored 110 runs in three innings, at an average of 55. He also played a match-winning knock in Eden Gardens in the second ODI.
