The highly anticipated Asia Cup 2023 is all set to kick off from Wednesday, August 30 with the tournament opener between the hosts Pakistan and the new entrants Nepal. Both teams will play the first match of the tournament at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan. Meanwhile, a piece of news has also attracted the headlines on social media.

The digital streaming platform which is set to broadcast the continental championship live is set to earn a massive amount of money as ad revenue during the tournament. A media report in Livemint has learned that the digital platform is expected to generate a revenue of almost 400 crores from the tournament.

India vs Pakistan match to give a big amount of ad revenue

The ad revenue only from 10 seconds during the high-voltage encounter between India and Pakistan is expected to be 25-30 Lakhs. The arch-rivals, and the Asian cricketing giants, India and Pakistan will lock horns in the high-octane clash at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy on Saturday, September 2.

The tournament will be streamed on the same digital platform in India free for mobile users. The broadcasters are expecting a massive revenue from the ads only.

Speaking of cricket, the fans are eagerly waiting for the high-voltage encounter in the group stage between India and Pakistan. Both teams have already announced their squads for the tournament. Team India will be playing under the captaincy of regular skipper Rohit Sharma.

On the other hand, Pakistan under the captaincy of skipper Babar Azam will be heading to the Asia Cup 2023 as the World No. 1 ODI side. They earned this spot after defeating Afghanistan by a straight margin of 3-0 in the three-match ODI series.
