Every team in the Indian T20 League, except for Bangalore, has announced their captains for the upcoming season. The Bangalore team is still in search of a leader since Virat Kohli stepped down as the team's skipper after the 2021 season. The 33-year old wished to focus on India's captaincy in the longer formats at that time.
However, as it turned out, Virat no longer is the captain of team India. This has led to speculations that Virat Kohli will return as the captain of Bangalore. An official from the Bangalore franchise had earlier stated that Virat will be asked to lead the team if they do not get any other option.
And now, it has been learned that the Bangalore franchise is yet to formally accept Virat's resignation. The news was confirmed by Dainik Jagran's Abhishekh Tripathi.
