Former RCB skipper and batting superstar Virat Kohli is continuously in the headlines of both social media and mainstream media. He is also a big center of discussion among the former cricketers and the experts of the game since an ugly verbal spat and confrontation took place between Virat and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir.
Both 2011 World Cup-winning teammates engaged in a heated conversation just after the match between LSG and RCB on Monday night, the 1st of May. In this match, LSG was defeated by a margin of 18 runs as they failed to chase down the target of 127 runs posted by RCB.
The altercation between Gautam Gambhir was found to happen on the grounds of the early argument between Kohli and young LSG pacer Naveen ul Haq in the 17th over of the second innings. Later on, the Indian Cricket Board and IPL took action against both Kohli and Gambhir.
Both the veterans were slapped with fines of 100 percent of their match fees; Naveen ul Haq was also fined 50% of his match fees.
But it seems that this action from the Board didn’t go down well with the former Indian skipper and RCB batter Virat Kohli. The media reports have learned that he has written a letter to the Indian Cricket Board explaining his side of the story and also took a stand for himself by stating that he ‘didn’t say anything wrong’.
