Rohit Sharma-led India are locking horns with Australia in the fourth and last of the four-match Test series at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This last fixture of the series is also historic in a lot of senses as the hon’ble PMs of both countries, Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese.

PM Modi also joined Team India at the time of the national anthem and subsequently, the players shook hands with PM Modi. The pictures of this moment went viral over social media. Subsequently, the Indian cricket fans being the Indian fans, took to Twitter and reacted with hilarious reactions and responses.

Notably, India and Australia are celebrating 75 years of their relationship through cricket. PMs Anthony Albanese and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi took a lap of honor before the start of the match between India and Australia.

Talking about cricket, the Aussie stand-in skipper Steve Smith won the flip of the coin and decided to bat first. Batting first, Australia posted a score of 117 runs for the loss of two wickets in 47.4 overs with skipper Steve Smith and Usman Khawaja there in the middle with individual scores of 22 and 49 runs respectively.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Shami scalped one wicket each for India in the first innings. Notably, Team India is currently leading the series by a margin of 2-1 in the four-match series after losing the Indore Test to Australia by a big margin of nine wickets. Although India started the series brilliantly with two straight wins in the Nagpur and Delhi Tests respectively.

Winning the ongoing Ahmedabad Test is a must for Team India to secure their place in the final of the Test Championship. Australia has already reached the final of the championship with a win in the Indore Test against India.
