Team India are currently preparing for the 20-20 World Cup in Australia. After defeating Australia and South Africa in two home T20I series, India will now look to do well in the World Cup. Till now, India have already played two warm-up matches against Western Australia XI. However, they won one while losing the another.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma looked sharp during all captains' press meet on 15 October 2022. Now, a video went viral where an 11-year-old boy named, Drushil Chauhan impressed the Indian skipper with his smooth bowling in the nets. The Indian Cricket Board also shared the same video on their website and Twitter.

Here is the shared post:

Rohit Sharma invited Drushil Chauhan to bowl at the nets and also in the Indian dressing room

Speaking of the video, the boy shared his dream of becoming a cricketer. The Indian team analyst, Hari Prasad Mohan said: β€œWe arrived at the WACA for the afternoon practice session. Kids were wrapping up their morning event. So, as soon as we entered our dressing room, we were able to see about 100-odd kids playing and enjoying Cricket. There was one young kid who caught everyone’s eyes and Rohit was the first one to identify the kid.”

β€œAfter watching two or three balls which the kid bowled, everyone was amazed by his smooth run-up ad how naturally talented he was. He was constantly beating the bat and Rohit immediately went out of the dressing room and called that kid and asked him to bowl a few more balls. So that we could sit back and see him bowl.” Prasad Mohan added. The kid shared that he was quite surprised and excited after knowing that he might get a chance bowling to the Indian skipper.

β€œRohit went out and invited the kid to come and bowl a few balls to him in the net. It was actually great sight to see. It was a memorable moment for the kid when he got the opportunity to bowl at the Indian captain. He even was allowed to walk inside our dressing room, sharing some key moments with the coaches and other players. It was actually a great sight to see.” the Indian team analyst concluded.
