Former India skipper Virat Kohli and his wife and Bollywood actress and producer, Anushka Sharma have brought a new home. It is situated outside of Mumbai, in Awas Village. While the cricketer is busy in preparation for the rest of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, his brother, Vikas took care of the completion. Notably, the interiors of the place were designed by Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's ex-wife, Sussanne Khan.

The former India skipper paid Rs 6 crore on a 2,000 sq ft villa. He has paid Rs 36 lakh as stamp duty on this property. It is being told that this villa also includes a swimming pool of 400 square feet. However, this is not the first property of Virat and Anushka in Alibaug. The couple also bought a farmhouse in Alibaug for Rs 19.24 crore in September last year. He reportedly paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.15 crore.

"Awas is a preferred location due to its natural beauty. Besides, the Mandwa jetty is five minutes away from Awas and the speed boats have now reduced the distance to Mumbai to 15 minutes,” Advocate Mahesh Mhatre said.

Virat Kohli will be in action during the third Test against Australia

Meanwhile, both India and Australia are on a break after the second Test in Delhi ended the last weekend. The home team is leading the four-match series by 2-0. While the Indian team is facing the headache around KL Rahul's inclusion in the team, the Aussies might find it difficult to put together a playing XI.

A lot of their players including skipper Pat Cummins have returned home. In his absence, Steve Smith will lead the team in the game that will start on March 4 in Indore. On the other hand, Kohli would look to score big as he is pending massive innings for a long time. In the last game, he scored 44 runs before wrongly given out by the third umpire.
