Watch: Aamir Khan mistakes Rohit Shetty for Rohit Sharma in a Koffee with Karan episode

Bollywood's megastar Aamir Khan, apart from being one of the biggest stars, is also a huge fan of cricket. He is often seen in the stands supporting the Indian team in important games such as the World Cup. In a recent episode of the popular talk show "Koffee with Karan," Aamir mistook Indian captain Rohit Sharma for film director Rohit Shetty.

Aamir Khan was asked to name three cricketers in the rapid-fire round. He accidentally referred to Rohit Sharma as Rohit Shetty, which has caused a meme frenzy on social media. The actor felt embarrassed as he realised his mistake, but it accounted for a hilarious moment for Karan Johar, the host, and Kareena Kapoor, his co-guest. A video of the same has gone viral over the internet.

In the meantime, Rohit Sharma is with the Indian team on their tour of the West Indies. Five T20I matches between the two sides are presently being played, with three having finished. The Men in Blue won the first match but lost the second game. They then came back stronger to win the third match and take a 2-1 lead in the series.

On August 6th and 7th in Florida, the team led by Rohit Sharma will play their next two matches against the Windies. They will look to win both matches as they prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup set to be played in Australia later this year.

After the West Indies tour, India will play against Zimbabwe in a three-match ODI series, followed by Asia Cup at the end of August. The United Arab Emirates will host the Asia Cup from the 27th of August to the 11th of September. For all of the teams, this will be an important multi-team competition as they get ready for the T20 World Cup in October.

The Indian team is expected to feature all the senior players for the Asia Cup 2022.
