On 16 October 2022, United Arab Emirates (UAE) took on the Netherlands in the second game of the 20-20 World Cup’s opening day. However, in the first game only, Namibia produced an upset by defeating the current Asia Cup champion, Sri Lanka. So, fans were looking for another great match between UAE and the Netherlands.

Speaking of the match, UAE won the toss and they choose to bat first. But, they failed to put up a competitive total on the board. UAE managed only 111 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. But, a funny incident happened while a UAE batter was going back to the dressing room after getting out. The video went viral all over the internet as fans found it funny.

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the 20th over. Aayan Afzal Khan was batting as UAE were struggling at 106 runs for seven wickets. Fred Klaassen came out to bowl that over. On the fifth delivery of that over, Klaassen took the wicket of Aayan Khan. Then, he was seen going back to the dressing room, looking dejected.

But, as he reached the boundary rope, his foot got stuck at that and he fell flat on his face. However, Aayan seemed to be a little bit embarrassed as he stood up quickly and ran toward the dressing room. The UAE batter managed only five runs off seven balls, at a strike rate of 71.42.

Speaking of the UAE inning, they had a decent start. UAE were on 59 runs for two wickets in 10.3 overs. They lost their third wicket on 91 runs. But, after that, they had a collapse as UAE ended up only at 111 runs in 20 overs. Muhammad Waseem scored 41 runs off 47 balls, including one four and two sixes. In reply, the Dutch had a good start as they were at 62 runs for three wickets in 10 overs.
