Team India are currently playing the three-match home ODI series against the Kiwis. However, KL Rahul took a rest from the series due to some personal family reasons. So, reports were there that KL Rahul was going to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Bollywood actress, Athiya Shetty on 23 January 2023.

Such reports were circulating since the last year. But, as per reports, all came true as the Indian star batter married the actress on 23 January. The ceremony took place in the bride's father, Sunil Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala, around 80 km from Mumbai, India. However, after the marriage, now a video has gone viral where the newly appointed couple was seen greeting media persons.

Here is the shared video and tweet:

KL Rahul will be back for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia

After the marriage, both KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty shared a beautiful message with their respective fans. The tweet reads: “In your light, I learn how to love…” Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness. @theathiyashetty.”

Speaking about KL Rahul, he has failed to score significantly for team India, especially in major tournaments. Now, he will be back in action again in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia at home. So far, Rahul has represented team India in 168 matches across all three formats. In those matches, he has scored 6739 runs, at an average of 37.85.

On the other hand, AthiyaShetty is the daughter of the actor Suniel Shetty and Mana Shetty. She made her Bollywood debut in 2015.  The movie's name was “Hero”, a remake of co-producer Subhash Ghai's 1983 classic of the same name. It was Suniel Shetty who made the news official to the photographers and media. He announced that he has now become a father-in-law as all rituals are completed. After that, all videos and photos went viral on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
