On 19 January 2023, Dubai Capitals took on Gulf Giants in the International League T20. It was the eighth match of the tournament that took place in Sharjah. Gulf Giants were looking to continue their winning momentum by winning this clash. While Dubai Capitals were looking to improve their position in the table.
However, Gulf Giants did not disappoint their fans as they won the match by a huge margin of 101 runs. James Vince won the player of the match award for scoring 76 runs off 48 balls. But, during the match, David Wiese got out to a fantastic in-seining delivery of Akif Raja. However, the video of that dismissal has now gone viral.

Akif Raja took two wickets for 23 runs in four overs
Speaking of that video, the incident took place during the 15th over of the Gulf Giants’ innings. Akif Raja was bowling while James Vince was batting. On the third delivery of that over, he took the wicket of Vince. Then, David Wiese came out to bat. But, he became stunned when Raja produced a piece of beauty on the next ball only.
His in-swinging delivery was enough to disturb the stumps of Wiese. Thus, he got out on a golden duck. Speaking of the match, Dubai Capitals won the toss and opted to field first. While batting first, Gulf Giants scored 181 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. James Vince was the highest scorer with 76 runs off 48 balls, including four boundaries and four sixes. For Dubai Capitals, Akif Raja took two wickets for 23 runs in four overs. Along with him, Isuru Udana took two wickets while Rovman Powell and Mujeeb Ur Rahman took one wicket each.
In reply, Dubai Capitals’ batters were absolutely clueless as they got bundled out for 80 runs in 14.3 overs. Both David Wiese and Chris Jordan took three wickets each. Thus, Gulf Giants registered a thumping win over Dubai Capitals. It was their third consecutive win in three matches so far in this league.
