Yograj Singh, who is the father of former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, played for Team India in the 1980s. He made his Test debut against New Zealand in Wellington, while also making his ODI debut against the same opposition in Brisbane.
Having made his debut in 1980, Yograj could only play one Test and six ODIs for India. He got into the headlines after he blamed MS Dhoni for ruining the career of his son Yuvraj Singh. After being awarded ‘Player of the Tournament’ in the 2011 ODI World Cup, Yuvraj was not selected in the team for the 2015 edition of the tournament. Yuvraj’s exclusion had annoyed his father who lashed out at the former Indian captain for playing politics in the team.
Recently, Arjun Tendulkar produced a sensational performance in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on October 14, Friday. The left-arm seamer picked up four wickets for just 10 runs in four overs for Goa against Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, which was also his career-best T20 figures.
Notably, Arjun had shifted to Goa in a bid to gain more action in domestic cricket. The bowling all-rounder has also been part of the Mumbai franchise setup but has yet to make his debut for the five-time Indian T20 League champions.
