India cricketer Axar Patel married his longtime girlfriend Meha Patel on January 26 (Thursday). Before getting engaged in January 2022, the couple dated for a long time. Axar's wife is a dietician who is usually very active on social media.

When it comes to posting pictures on social media, Meha doesn't shy away any time. She is said to be an avid traveller, having visited Goa, Dubai, and the United States with her now-husband, Axar Patel.

The Indian all-rounder took a break from the ongoing white-ball series against New Zealand to get married. On Wednesday (January 25), the couple held their Mehendi Ceremony and pre-wedding festivities. In the meantime, a video clip from their wedding ceremony has gone viral. Axar can be seen in a video performing a dance sequence to a Bollywood song.

Axar's wedding comes on the heels of star batter KL Rahul's wedding to actress Athiya Shetty. On January 23rd, the couple married at Athiya's father Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala. Axar Patel had previously been given a rest for the six white-ball games against the Kiwis alongside Rahul due to 'personal reasons.'

Axar was last seen in action against Sri Lanka in a T20I series, where he shone with the bat, especially in the second T20I in Pune, where India was struggling. He also took several wickets and was named man of the tournament in the three-match series.

Axar's best series knock came in the Pune match when India was chasing a 208-run target. His brave 65 off 31 balls, combined with Surya's 51, appeared to be steering the Indian ship safely to shore, but that was not to be. The hosts were defeated by 16 runs, but Axar's knock will always be remembered.

“Feel happier when the team benefits from my batting (when compared to bowling). Didn’t do anything different for this series, just that the captain gave me a lot of confidence in the dugout. He tells me to play freely and tells me that he is there to protect me,” Axar had said earlier.
