Team India are currently busy preparing for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup in Australia. On 7 October 2022, all players attended their first training session. Rohit Sharma and his boys engaged in a light training session. After playing two T20I series at home in recent weeks, players looked relaxed during the first session.

During that session, Axar Patel shared a funny interaction with Arshdeep Singh. The video went viral as the Indian Cricket Board shared the same on Twitter. They shared it with a caption: “#TeamIndia had a light training session yesterday at the WACA. Our strength and conditioning coach, Soham Desai gives us a lowdown on the preparations ahead of the @T20WorldCup”.

Here is the shared video:

Speaking of the video, team India did the training session at the WACA. Their strength and conditioning coach, Soham Desai provided updates ahead of the World Cup. He said: “We just started off today with some run-around and some games just to get a feel of the ground. And we had a long flight. We have been travelling for around 19-20 hours. So the goal today is to get some time on the field and some laughter, sweat, tear, and effort.”

Then, in the video, it was seen that Arshdeep Singh joined his teammates for the training. Then, Axar Patel said: “Aao paaji aao, A se start karna hai. Arshdeep, Axar, aise karke.” However, Soham Desai continued to share team India’s plan for the upcoming days, leading to the tournament.

“Upcoming 8-10 days are very crucial for us leading into the World Cup. We can not thank the team management and the Indian Cricket Board enough to get us these eight days. Because we always feel that we rushed into the big tournaments, playing so much cricket as the Indian team. But, these eight days, we are going to gradually build ourselves both physically and in skills to lead us nicely into the first game of the World Cup.” Soham Desai concluded.
