Team India kicked off their 20-20 World Cup 2022 campaign on 23 October in Melbourne. They took on arch-rivals Pakistan in their tournament opener. However, Indian fans went crazy as the Men in Blue won the match by four wickets. Meanwhile, it was a nail-biting finish for both the fans and players as India won the game on the last ball only.
In the last over, Mohammad Nawaz came up to bowl with a motive to defend 16 runs. But, he failed as India managed to win the match. But, skipper Babar Azam came up with a great gesture after the match with his player. Fans loved it as the video went viral.

Speaking of the video, Mohammad Nawaz looked hurt as he failed to defend 16 runs in the last over. Despite taking the first wicket on the first delivery of that over, he failed to defend those amount of runs. Nawaz was seen standing alone with a disappointed face. But, both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan came to him.
The skipper hugged him and patted his back. Such a heartwarming gesture from the skipper only showed how great a leader Babar Azam is. Along with him, Rizwan was also seen with a token of support to the bowler. Fans loved the video after seeing such a gesture from two senior players of Pakistan.
Speaking of the match, Pakistan batted first and scored 159 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Babar Azam scored a golden duck against India in the match. But, while chasing the target, India were in a spot of danger. In the last over, India needed 16 runs as Mohammad Nawaz came out to bowl. But, India managed to chase it down as they won the match by four runs. Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets for 42 runs in four overs in the match. With the bat, he failed as Nawaz managed only nine runs off six balls.
