FC Barcelona, the legendary Spanish football club, is currently on a pre-season tour to the USA. Having done poorly in the past few years, the Catalan club is showing signs of improvement recently. Barcelona has been very active in the transfer market this season and has made some quality purchases as well.

The Laliga giants have recently acquired the services of Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, Raphinha from Leeds United, Andres Christensen from Chelsea and Jules Kounde from Sevilla.

In their pre-season game, the Spanish giants defeated their arch rivals Real Madrid by 1-0. Still, on the USA tour, Barcelona players recently met NBA stars Ben Simmons and Patty Mills.

Brooklyn Nets posted a video where seven Barcelona players including David Alba, Sergio Busquests, Ferran Torres, Nico Garcia, Pedri Gonzalez, Pablo Gavi and Eric Garcia, are seen. The seven could be seen singing Brooklyn on an indoor practice court. Barcelona players were all smiles as they took turns showcasing their basketball skills. The midfielder Nico Gonzalez impressed with his basketball skills as the player was seen putting the ball into the basket on many occasions. Later, the players came together for a picture session.

Barcelona has so far played against NY Red Bulls, Juventus, Olot, Inter Miami and Real Madrid. Their game against Real Madrid was a heated affair between the two teams and harking back to the days of the past when El Classico was immensely competitive. After the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, however, the league has lost its bling.

There is talk of bringing Messi back to Barcelona. Recently, club president Joan Laporta expressed a desire of bringing Messi back to the Catalan club. He said, "We have a moral debt with Leo Messi. I want the end of his playing career with him wearing the Barça shirt and being applauded at every stadium."

Barcelona announced the signing of Jules Kounde from Sevilla yesterday in a deal worth £55m. The defender was wanted by Chelsea but Barcelona managed to beat the English team for Kounde’s signature.
