Ahead of the 20-20 World Cup 2022, England is playing a T20I series against Australia. Ben Stokes may not have had a good batting performance in his return to T20I cricket, but the star England all-rounder produced a stunning piece of fielding to demonstrate his importance in the team.
Stokes executed a jumping effort in the deep to prevent a well-set Mitchell March from completing a hat-trick of sixes against Sam Curran's bowling. The incident occurred during Curran's 12th over of the innings. Marsh was on strike, batting on 34 when he saw the delivery pitching full around the middle and off stump.
It appeared that the ball would easily clear the boundary ropes, but Stokes stopped it with a stunning effort to save a certain six. The all-rounder jumped off the ground near the boundary ropes and swatted the ball inside the field, while he was still in the air. Marsh could only get a couple of runs off that delivery, and Stokes ended up saving four valuable runs for his team.

In the meantime, Dawid Malan scored 82 to lead the batting, while Sam Curran took three wickets to help England win the series against Australia by eight runs on Wednesday. This will be a setback for the hosts as they prepare to defend their title at the 20-20 World Cup.
The mega event in Australia will begin with group stages on the 16th of October. On the other hand, the super 12 stages will begin on the 22nd of October, with the hosts and defending champions, Australia, taking on New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground. England will kick off their campaign against Afghanistan at Perth Stadium on the same day.
