Ahead of the start of the India vs Pakistan clash, Babar Azam was hailed as one of the players to watch out for. There were huge expectations from Pakistan's number one batter going into the game. The last time he batted against Pakistan, he scored a match-winning half-century and the fans expected him to replicate a similar knock on Sunday.
After Rohit Sharma invited Pakistan to bat first, Babar Azam started off his innings with a boundary. However, he struggled to score runs freely against Arshdeep Singh in the next over, although the skipper managed to score a boundary off the last ball.
Despite scoring those two boundaries, the Pakistan skipper didn't look too comfortable. Come the third ball of the third over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled an outstanding bouncer to outfox Babar Azam completely. The bouncer came at the right height but Babar Azam decided to take it on only to mistime it and getting out at short-fine end.
The Pakistan skipper's short stay ended in the third over only. His wicket put Pakistan in pressure as wickets kept falling at regular intervals, thereafter.
