English football club Manchester United has had a torrid time on the field in the last year. They had a bad season last year and the ongoing season has started off well either. Interestingly enough, the team has players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Maguire, Christian Eriksen, etc but they have struggled to put even one win in the ongoing season so far.

Till now, they have played against the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford. In both games, the Red Devils have suffered defeats and are in the last spot (20th) in the points table. Meanwhile, British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis went to Iscon Temple in Delhi. There he met a person who was wearing the T-Shirt of the English club.

Casemiro signed by Manchester United

Recently, the team has signed Brazil and Real Madrid's Casemiro for 60 million euros and 10 more in the form of add-ons. With this, he became the second-most expensive who is more than 30-years-old signed in history. In 2018, Juventus signed Ronaldo for a whopping sum of 100 million euros at the age of 33. He was the highest goal scorer for Juventus as he recorded 81 league goals in three years at Juventus. This helped the team win Serie A in his first two seasons in Italy.

Last year, he moved to United for the second stint and is still part of the team. On the other hand, Casemiro, who is the second-highest goal scorer for Madrid will have the responsibility to turn around the team's fortunes this season. Manchester's next game will be against Liverpool on August 23. This game won't be an easy one to get off the mark for the Old Trafford-based team. Liverpool is also looking to get off the mark as they have also lost their first two games.
