Speaking about the video, fans were seen waiting outside of the Sydney Olympic Park for the Pakistan team. The team bus arrived and players started to come out from the bus. After Shaheen Shah Afridi, Iftikhar Ahmed came out. Seeing him, fans started to call out to him and began the “Chacha, Chacha” chant.
However, fans call him by that “Chacha” name as he seemed to be older with respect to his age. So, fans loved such appreciation for the batter as they made the video viral all over the internet. Speaking about his recent form, Iftikhar Ahmed has scored 62 runs so far in three matches in the ongoing World Cup.
Against India, his inning was crucial along with Shan Masood’s 52* runs. Those innings only helped Pakistan to post a total of 159 runs for eight wickets. In reply, India managed to win the match on the last ball of the game. Virat Kohli was the player of the match for his 82* run innings off 53 balls, at a strike rate of 154.71. His innings ensured that the Men in Blue managed to begin their World Cup campaign on a winning note.
