Virat Kohli seems to be the only name that Naveen-ul-Haq has been hearing in the last month. Earlier this month, during the Indian Premier League 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore, the two had a heated exchange of words.
Since then, fans have connected every action the two have made, particularly on social media, to their fight. Naveen, meanwhile also has faced booing from the crowd at every venue that he has played at after that. The same continued at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai during the Eliminator game between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians.
While fielding at the boundary, the Afghanistan pacer was slammed with the chants of 'Kohli... Kohli' during the game. The right-hander seemed unbothered by the chants as he asked the spectators to shout louder. A video of the same has gone viral on the internet.

Naveen has received a lot of attention, taunting, and booing, but he is loving it. During the post-match news conference on Wednesday, the LSG seamer stated that the shouts inspire him to perform better. “I enjoy it. I like everyone in the ground chanting his (Virat Kohli) name or any other player’s name. It gives me passion to play well for my team,” said Naveen.
“Well I don’t concentrate on the outside or the noise from outside or anything else. I just focus on my own cricket and my own process. Crowd chanting or anyone saying something doesn’t affect me. As professional sportsmen, you have to take this in your stride. One do when you don’t good for your team, fans are going to give it to you. And when you do good for your team, same people are going to chant your name. Basically, this is part and parcel of the game,” said Naveen.
