Manchester United's most recent match against Chelsea ended in a draw after United came back with an equalizing goal in the second half of the game. In the 60th minute, Marco Alonso scored Chelsea's opening goal. Just minutes later, Nemanja Matic, a former Chelsea player, made a wonderful chip pass over the defence for Cristiano Ronald, who hammered the ball past Eduard Mendy for a goal.

A few days later, Cristiano Ronaldo and Nemanja Matic's sons recreated their fathers' goal against Chelsea. Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. and Filip Matic reenacted the goal on an indoor pitch. Both of these youngsters are members of the Manchester United Academy.

Following the match against Chelsea, Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick lauded both Ronaldo and Matic for their influence and outstanding performances in the match at Old Trafford. Speaking of Ronaldo, he said that his attitude towards the game at this age is incredible.

"[It was] not only the goal that he scored today, also his whole performance, his attitude. How often he helped in our own half. At the age of 37, a player like him, this is not normal to do that. He showed that today and if he plays like he did today he can still be a great help for this team," he said as quoted by Sports Tiger.

Rangnick also spoke about Matic's performance. He said that he was happy to see him perform. "He’s got a top mentality, he’s a top-class professional player and that’s why I’m happy I could give him more game time in the last couple of weeks. For me, [it was] a very good performance by Nema," he said.

Meanwhile, Manchester United's season in 2022 is in turmoil. In their last three games against Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea, they have only managed one point.
