Once again India bagged another limited-overs series this year as they beat Zimbabwe by five wickets and took a lead of 2-0. The last game of the series will be played on August 22 and the Men In Blue will be looking to clean sweep the hosts. Meanwhile, the wicketkeeper for the visitors in the series, Sanju Samson played a useful inning in the game.

The right-hander came out to bat when the team was struggling a bit as they had four wickets for 97 runs, chasing a meager total of 162. He scored an unbeaten 43 in 39 balls including three fours and four sixes. When the team needed only one run to win, the crowd in the stands started chanting 'Sanju Sanju'. At that stage, Innocent Kaia was bowling.

Samson responded in style and finished the game with a six and help the team take an unassailable lead in the three-match series.

Maiden ODI series win for KL Rahul as a skipper

KL Rahul is leading the team for the second time in his career. His captaincy stint didn't start well when he led the team in South Africa early this year. In that series, the Men In Blue were clean swept by 0-3. In the ongoing series, the team would be looking to end the series with a win. Also, in the next game, the team might look to bat first if they win the toss.

After all, they need to test their batting strength in the 50-over game and give them enough time to showcase their talent. Till now, KL Rahul's men have preferred bowling first in the seaming conditions of the Southern African country. Now with the series in the bag, the team would be looking to do something out of the box. For the next few months, the team won't be playing any ODIs.
