On 22 November 2022, Australia took on England at the MCG for the third and final match of the ongoing ODI series. Australia already sealed the series before this clash by winning the first two games. So, the Aussies were looking for a clean sweep while England were looking to avoid it. David Warner scored this international hundred after a gap of 1043 days
Speaking of the video, David Warner scored 106 runs off 102 balls, including eight fours and two sixes. Finally, Warner managed to score an international hundred after a gap of 1043 days. On the first delivery of the 39th over, he got out to Olly Stone. During his walk back to teh dressing room, a young fan was seen coming down to the edge of the stadium.
Then, Warner was seen giving his gloves to him and the young fan was very happy with such a gesture. Speaking of the match, David Warner also stitched a partnership of 269 runs with Travis Head for the first wicket in the match. Travis Head also scored 152 runs off 130 balls, including 16 fours and four sixes. These innings helped Australia to score 355 runs for five wickets in 48 overs. Due to a small rain break in the middle, the match got reduced to a 48 overs game.
In reply, England's batters failed miserably. They got bundled out for 142 runs in 31.4 overs. Thus, Australia won the match by a huge margin of 221 runs. This win also helped the Aussies to clean sweep the series over England. David Warner also won the player of the series award for scoring 208 runs in the series.
