After winning the T20I tri-series in New Zealand, the Pakistan team played a warm-up match against England on 17 October 2022. Ahead of their first match against India, the Men in Green were looking for good preparation. However, the result did not go in their favour as they lost the match by six wickets.

But, Shaheen Shah Afridi made a comeback in the match ahead of the 20-20 World Cup. Before the Asia Cup 2022, the prime fast bowler faced an injury setback. But, Pakistan fans become happy after seeing him back in action. But, a funny video went viral where the fast bowler was seen checking new bats with another teammate, Haris Rauf ahead of the mega event.

Shaheen Afridi bowled a couple of overs while Haris Rauf only batted in the warm-up match against England

Speaking of the video, both Shaheen Afridi and Fakhar Zaman joined the team on 16 October in Australia. Ahead of the World Cup, the addition of them gave a boost to Babar Azam and his men. In the dressing room, Shaheen was seen telling Haris Rauf that he has brought new bats. Listening to that, Haris Rauf came up and checked the quality of the bats.

However, fans found the video funny as they looked like some pro batters with the way they checked those bats. Generally, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi are bowlers. But, they can contribute a little bit with the bat. So, fans found it funny after seeing them checking those bats with such attention.

Speaking of the warm-up match against England, Haris Rauf did not bowl. But, he batted and scored an unbeaten one run off one ball. On the other hand, Shaheen Afridi bowled only two overs where he conceded seven runs for no wickets. Pakistan batted first and scored 160 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. In reply, England chased the target down in just 14.4 overs. Now, they will play another warm-up match against Afghanistan in Brisbane on 19 October 2022.
