The rescheduled fifth Test between India and England is just a few hours away from commencement. The tension among both teams is rising ahead of this all-important match. Notably, this is a postponed match from India's tour of England in 2021. The last game had been delayed due to a covid outbreak in the visitor's camp. India now holds a 2-1 lead in the series.

England was spotted conducting an unorthodox fielding drill before the final match. A tennis ball and racket were used in the drill, and the players were split into two groups. The coach then used the tennis racquet to strike the ball in the air. Both teams had a helmeted player whose role was to divert the ball into the hands of one of the fielders surrounding him.

An English journalist named Will Macpherson posted a video of the English team doing this drill. "England play this mad new game at training now. McCullum whacks a tennis ball into the air, a (helmeted) coach has to head it, and the players catch. Vibes," he wrote in the tweet.

As it turns out, the Indian team has already done this drill. Incidentally, they practised this when India toured England in 2021. A fan shared a video of India performing the same drill the last time they were in England. "Literally did it there only last time," he wrote.

In the meantime, Birmingham's Edgbaston Stadium will host the match on the 1st of July. India has named Jasprit Bumrah as the team's captain, since Rohit Sharma would be absent due to Covid-19. On the other hand, the English team has already announced their team for the match.

They appear to be in fantastic shape after their recent series against New Zealand. The Ben Stokes-led team whitewashed the Black Caps in the home series. They will look to emulate a similar game in the game against India.
