Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, has arrived in England and has joined the rest of his squad members who had already begun practicing for a few days. The players are adjusting to the climate before facing Australia in the Test Championship final. The Oval will host the special Test, which will determine the victorious nation for the 2021-23 Test Championship cycle, and it will begin on June 7.

Ishan Kishan, along with Suryakumar Yadav, teammates of Rohit Sharma in the Mumbai Indians, were also among the group of players reaching the UK. They joined Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat, Cheteshwar Pujara, Axar Patel, and Virat Kohli. With the exception of Pujara, the arrival of the other players in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) was mostly based on the conclusion of their clubs' season.

During the training session, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was spotted rolling his arm over in the nets as Kohli, Umesh as well as Siraj were spotted jogging in their new practise gear. Unadkat was also conversing with bowling coach Paras Mhambrey and head coach Rahul Dravid. Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been in the country practising for the final by competing for Sussex for the English county circuit, was also spotted arriving at the practise area.

Later on, it's anticipated that Shubman Gill, Mohammed Shami, KS Bharat, Ravindra Jadeja, as well as Ajinkya Rahane will all join the team. They all took part in the IPL championship game, which saw Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeat Gujarat Titans (GT) by five wickets in a thrilling last-ball contest to win their fifth championship.

By doing so, MS Dhoni matched Rohit's record for the most IPL championships won as captain. After winning their eliminator encounter versus the Lucknow Super Giants, Rohit's Mumbai Indians advanced to the second qualifying round. But Gujarat Titans, who were inspired by Shubman Gill's 60-ball 129, crushed them later on.

India will now play Australia in the World Test Championship final next week and the stakes are at an all-time high. In a highly contested series that India hosted this year, the two teams competed against one another. Australia came back to win the third Test by nine wickets after India swept the previous two matches. India clinched the series 2-1 after the fourth game ended in a tie.
