Pak skipper and batting superstar Babar Azam smashed a boundary off the former. Notably, both stars were facing off each other in the second match of the PSL 2023 between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old dominated the Punjab-based former pacer in the match with some brilliant shots throughout the corners of the ground. But, the frustration of not picking a wicket in the match could be seen completely on Amir’s face. Later on, it was also reflected in his actions as he went on to throw the ball toward Babar Azam in the follow-through.

The 30-year-old Karachi Kings pacer had an off day with the ball and he couldn’t scalp a sing wicket in his entire quota of four overs after conceding 42 runs.
Speaking of the action of the match, the hosts’ skipper Imad Wasim won the flip of the coin and asked Peshawar to bat first. Batting first, they faced some early blows after losing two wickets only on the score of 16 runs in 1.4 overs. It was the time skipper Babar Azam and star middle-order batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore took the charge in the middle to stitch a big partnership of 139 runs for the third wicket; before Babar fell prey to spin veteran Imran Tahir in the 16th over of the match. Babar and Cadmore played the brilliant knocks of 68 and 92 runs respectively to help their team reach a total of 199 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
While chasing the target, the skipper Imad Wasim played the blistering knock of 80 runs off just 47 balls alongside former Pak skipper T20 great Shoaib Malik’s 52-run knock. But the efforts of both the batters went in vain as Karachi could score only 197 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 2 runs.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore won the ‘player of the match award for his match-defining knock in favor of Peshawar.
