One such player is Gautam Gambhir. He has had a fabulous white ball career for India in the white ball formats especially in One day Cricket with over 4000 runs to his name.

Gautam Gambhir has played a pivotal role in the 2007 20-20 World Cup win and the 2011 ODI World Cup win where he scored heavily in the finals of both the matches and put India to crowning glory on the night.  After Gautam Gambhir retired from cricket, he took the mic in his hand and has taken to English and Hindi commentary like a duck to water. He is a crowd favourite on television.

The former left-handed India batter shared a story on Instagram on Tuesday, September 20th, to give fans a glimpse of his practice session ahead of the encounter. But at present, it is time for him to put on the cricket kit again as he will be back in action on the cricket field. His fans will be in a tizzy as they will get to see him in action on field after a long time.

He will skipper the India capitals side from the next game against the Bhilwara Kings. Gautam Gambhir could not lead the India Capitals side in the previous fixture against the Gujarat Giants where Jacques Kallis led the side in Gambhir's absence. The previous game against the Gujarat Giants was held on the 17th of September. Gambhir was not part of the previous encounter due to broadcasting commitments but now he will join the side from today onwards.
