On 17 November 2022, Australia kicked off the three-match ODI series against England in Adelaide. England were coming off after winning the 20-20 World Cup on 13 November. On the other hand, Australi had a disappointing exit from the group stage only. However, the 50-over World Cup is going to happen in India in 2023.
So, both teams were looking to do well in this ODI series. Speaking of the match, Pat Cummins won the toss and asked England to bat first. But, David Warner got involved in a funny interaction with a little fan during Australia’s innings which went viral.

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the 46th over of Australia’s innings. Cameron Green and David Warner were batting for the Aussies. For England, Luke Wood was bowling. During that over, a little fan was seen in the stands with a request for David Warner. He showed a paper and the request was written on it. It reads: “David Warner, can I have ur shirt?”
Seeing that, Warner laughed and came up with an epic reply. He also showed a paper from the dressing room with some message on it. The message reads: “Get one off Marnus (Labuschagne).” Then, the fan again came up with the same request for Marnus Labuschagne also. Ultimately, David Warner was seen showing a thumb to him and telling him to come to their side after the match for the shirts. Such a gesture from the star batter impressed all fans.
Speaking of the match, England batted first and scored 287 runs for nine wickets in 50 overs. Dawid Malan scored 134 runs off 128 balls, including 12 fours and four sixes. In reply, Australia chased it down in 46.5 overs. Thus, the home side won by six wickets. David Warner scored 86 runs off 84 balls, including 10 fours and one six.
