On 21 January 2023, the Men in Blue locked horns with the Kiwis in the second game of the ongoing ODI series. The match took place in Raipur where India were looking to seal the series by winning the match. They won the series opener by just 12 runs and bowlers like Hardik Pandya had a forgettable night with the ball.

So, fans were hoping to see a better performance from the star all-rounder in the second game. Speaking of the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first. However, Indian bowlers were on a roll as New Zealand lost their first four wickets in the first 10 overs. Among those, Hardik Pandya came up with a great reflex catch on his own bowling and that video has now gone viral.

Hardik Pandya conceded 70 runs in seven overs in the first match

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the 10th over of New Zealand’s innings. Hardik Pandya came up to bowl while Devon Conway was batting. On the fourth delivery of that over, Pandya bowled a full-pitch delivery that Conway drove back to the ball. However, the ball was in the air but it was very low.

Then, Hardik Pandya showed a great and quick reflex to grab the catch out of nowhere. After the catch, he came up with an ice-cold celebration, and Devon Conway was also stunned by that effort. Speaking of the match, New Zealand batters were in big trouble after the first 10 overs.  

In the first 10 overs, they scored only 15 runs for four wickets. Mohammed Shami took two wickets while Siraj and Pandya took one wicket each. In the last match, Hardik Pandya conceded 70 runs in seven overs with only one wicket. In the second match, New Zealand are currently struggling at 103 runs for eight wickets after 32 overs. Pandya has already picked up two wickets in the match.
