Watch: Harsha Bhogle plans his own kidnapping, apologizes later

Harsha Bhogle is one of the biggest names in cricket broadcasting over the years. Bhogle has a huge fan following across generations. On March 24, he was doing an Instagram live session regarding the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. However, in a shocking turn of events, the renowned commentator dropped and started shouting "What happened! Who are you? Where did you come from?". At this point, the live session was abruptly ended.

The video went viral and fans became concerned, wanting to know what exactly went down. The anchor was also shocked although he thought the 60-year-old had dropped his phone. However, in a while, the anchor realized there was more to it than just dropping off the phone. Meanwhile, the media house, with whom the Hyderabad-born was interacting, said that they were trying to get in touch again.

"Hello everyone, We are not sure about what happened. We are trying to get in touch with @bhogleharsh and his team. We will update you guys as soon as we get some information!" Sportwalk informed about the episode in a now-deleted tweet.

However, the twist in the tale was that the incident was pre-planned. Bhogle took to Twitter and clarified the incident was executed in a lighthearted manner, but he is embarrassed. He added that he is sorry to get the fans worried.

“You learn something new every day. It seemed a lighthearted thing to do but, in its execution, it became something that I didn’t think it would. I am actually a bit embarrassed now,” he added in another Tweet.

“I am fine. Sorry to have got a lot of you worried. Thank you for the love and concern. It became more viral than I anticipated. That too is a learning. It was meant to lead to something else. Sorry. And cheers,” wrote Bhogle on Twitter.
