The Indian team has many youngsters playing, with senior players having taken a rest. Players like Shubman Gill, Axar Patel, and Avesh Khan, among others, have gotten a chance to play in the series. The likes of Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer also have gotten a chance to play for the team. All of these players have done well in the series thus far. Gill and Axar, in particular, have been very impressive in the series.

As for the second match, West Indies scored 311 runs in the first innings on the backs of brilliant performances by Shai Hope (115 runs in 135 balls) and Nicholas Pooran (74 runs in 77 balls). In the chase, India got off to a rusty start by losing wickets in quick succession, but Shreyas Iyer (63 runs 71 balls) and Sanju Samson (54 runs in 51 balls) helped the team get back on track.

The responsibility fell on Axar Patel to lead his team across the finish line, which he accomplished with ease. He played an undefeated knock of 64 runs in just 35 balls, with three fours and five sixes to get his team across the finish line.

The final match of the series will be played on the 27th of July at the same venue, Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain.
