On 23 October, India took on Pakistan in the much-wanted cash in the 20-20 World Cup in Melbourne. After losing against the Men in Green in the last 20-20 World Cup in 2021, Indian players were looking to perform better this time around. Speaking of the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and he opted to bowl first.

However, Indian bowlers were on a roll from the start of the innings. They sent back the top order of the Men in Green quickly to the dressing room. But, a bizarre thing happened when a ball got hit into the spider cam. It left Indian players angry as the video went viral all over the internet.

Here is the shared video:

Indian players like Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya looked absolutely livid at the incident

Speaking of the incident, it happened during the 15th over of the inning.  Ravichandran Ashwin came up to bowl that over for India. Sham Masood was batting along with Mohammad Nawaz. However, on the fourth delivery of that over, Shan Massod tried to hit Ashwin out of the park but he failed to time it. The ball went up in the sky and it was looking like Indian players will grab it easily.

But, the ball hit the spider cam wire and it landed in a no-man’s land. Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya looked very angry as they came up with some angry gestures. It seemed like that incident only cost them a wicket of Pakistan only. However, the ball got considered a dead ball only.

Speaking of the match, the Indian bowlers did not let the Pakistan batters score easily in the match. Iftikhar Ahmed scored 51 runs off 34 balls, at a strike rate of 150. He managed to hit two fours and four sixes in his inning. Along with him, Shan Masood also hit a fifty. But, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya managed to take three wickets each as Pakistan reached the 150-run mark in 19 overs.
