India and Pakistan are slated to take on each other in the second match of the Super Four stage in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday. The two teams locked horns with each other last Sunday as well. India emerged victorious in that encounter, beating Pakistan by 5 wickets.

Riding on a sensational bowling spell from Bhuvneshwar Kumar, India restricted Pakistan to just 147 runs in the first innings. Barring Mohammad Rizwan, none of the batters looked comfortable at the crease. Rizwan top-scored with the bat, scoring 43 runs in 42 balls, including 4 fours and 1 six.

As for India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar starred with the ball, picking 4 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs. In pursuit of the target, India managed to chase down the score in 19.5 overs.

At one stage, India were in trouble at 89 for 4. However, Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya then added 52 runs to bring the team back into the game. Jadeja got out in the last over after scoring valuable 35 runs but Hardik Pandya ensured he took India over the line with two balls left in the game.

Ahead of the game on Sunday, India would be looking to register another win against the Men in Green. Pakistan, on the other hand, would look to avenge the 5-wicket defeat. Meanwhile, social media influener, ‘Maaro Mujhe Maaro’ Guy, once again, is in the headlines.

In a recent video that has gone viral, Momin Saqib interacts with former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan. He could be seen asking Irfan,

“Good to see you! 2006 me Pakistan ke khilaf aapne hat-trick li thi. Bhai kaise hain aap? Jo Pakistan-India ka Sunday ko match honna hai, uske baare me aapko kya lag raha hai (How are you Irfan? What do you think about Sunday’s game between India and Pakistan?)

To that, Pathan replied that it would a repeat of last week's India vs Pakistan encounter.

The Pakistan influencer then reminded him of the last year’s India vs Pakistan encounter in the T20 World Cup. Pathan stated that it happened in the past and it isn’t going to happen ever again.
