Team India kicked off their 20-20 World Cup 2022 campaign on 23 October in Melbourne. Fans were eagerly waiting for the clash as India took on arch-rivals Pakistan. In the last 20-20 World Cup in 2021, India lost to the Men in Green by 10 wickets. So, the Indian team were looking to do well this year.
However, they performed much better this year as they defected Pakistan by four wickets. Virat Kohli played a blinder of a knock of 82* runs off 53 balls. It set the path to victory for India at the MCG. But, a video went viral where Irfan Pathan was seen celebrating the victory with Virat Kohli in a unique way.

Virat Kohli hit four sixes and six fours in his innings against Pakistan
Speaking of the video, Irfan Pathan was seen doing his duty as the TV representative. Then, Virat Kohli came up to meet him. Irfan Pathan hugged him and lifted him with joy to celebrate the victory. Both looked in a super mood with big smiles on their faces. Fans found the video very funny as it went viral.

Lots of love to all. #HappyDiwali.” Speaking about the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first. The Men in Green scored 159 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Shan Masood was the highest scorer with 52* runs off 42 balls. Along with him, Iftikhar Ahmed scored 51 runs off 34 balls.
In reply, India faced issues while chasing the target of 160 runs. Virat Kohli stole the match from the jaws of defeat as he scored 83* runs off 52 balls. He hit four sixes and six fours throughout his innings. Virat also stitched a solid partnership of 113 runs with Hardik Pandya. Thus, India managed to win the match by four wickets at the MCG.
