On 30 December 2022, Rishabh Pant surprised everyone as he got involved in a terrible road accident. The wicketkeeper of team India was going to Roorkee from Delhi in his Mercedes car. However, unfortunately, he hit the car with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. Pant got severely injured and ultimately, he was taken to the Max Hospital in Dehradun.

However, on that day, another young wicketkeeper of the Men in Blue, Ishan Kishan was busy playing in the Ranji Trophy. He was busy playing for Jharkhand against Services. The match took place in Jamshedpur where many people went to see Ishan Kishan. There, they share the news of Rishabh Pant’s accident and hear that Ishan Kishan came up with a shocking reaction as the video has now gone viral.

Speaking of the video, Ishan Kishan was seen standing at the boundary rope. So, many fans were looking for his autograph from the other side of the fence. The young wicketkeeper looked more than happy while giving those autographs. There, one fan shared the news about Rishabh Pant and his first reaction was “Kya” (What). Ishan then added: "Kya baat kar rahe ho yaar” (What are you saying, guys!)

However, currently, Rishabh Pant has been responding well to his treatments. A medical team member said: “His condition is being monitored by Dr. Gaurav Gupta of the orthopedics department. Pant is stable, and not suffering from any life-threatening injury. His mother is with him in the hospital.” 

Regarding his situation, Dr. Qamar Azam at the AIIMS Rishikesh said, “Pant will take at least three to six months to recover from the ligament injury. And if it’s severe, he may take more time. Further evaluation can be based on his detailed injury report.” A Haryana bus driver Sushil Kumar and the bus conductor Paramjeet rescued Pant from the burning car and called the ambulance.
