India men's cricketer KL Rahul and India women's cricketer Jhulan Goswami were spotted practising together in the nets at Bangalore's National Cricket Academy. It is not often that players from the two teams play or even practice together.

In a video that has done rounds on the internet, Rahul is seen facing Goswami's fearsome bowling. On the first delivery bowled to Rahul, he dove down the ground, which may have been a four in an actual game. He played a superb cut shot in the backward point region on the second delivery.

In the meantime, KL Rahul is all set to make a comeback to the Indian team after recovering from an injury. The 30-year-old had suffered a groin injury just before he was supposed to lead in the five-match T20I series against South Africa. As a result, he had to undergo surgery in Germany.

He also missed out on the all-format series against England. If he is fit to play, he will be a part of India's ODI squad for the West Indies tour. The wicketkeeper-batter was last seen in the Indian T20 League 2022, where he captained the Lucknow team.

He guided the team to the eliminator, but could not go further as Bangalore knocked them out. Rahul scored 616 runs in 15 matches this season, with an average of 51.33 and a strike rate of 135.38. He also hit two centuries and four half-centuries in the season.

Right-arm pacer Goswami, on the other hand, last played for India in the ICC Women's World Cup in 2022. She is not in India's squad for the Commonwealth Games since she declared her retirement from T20I cricket four years ago. She was also left out of the team for the ODI series against Sri Lanka last month, as well as the Women's T20 Challenge. The veteran cricketer is also aiming to make a comeback to the Indian team after missing out on a few series.
