Speaking of the action of the match between Messi’s men and Panama, the former almost dominated the match one-sidedly with some amazing numbers to their name after the conclusion of the match. Argentina had 75 percent of ball possession with them in comparison to 25% of Panama. Apart from that, there was a huge difference in the shots hit by both the teams; Argentina smashed 26 shots whereas Panama could make it only two times to hit the shots.

Apart from that, Panama failed to hit even a single shot at the target in comparison to nine amazing shots on target by Argentina. If it is to talk about passes, Messi & co. completely outplayed their opponents with a record number of 745 passes against 255 of the latter.

Notably, Messi was also in the headlines after he was mobbed by his fans in Buenos Aires; it happened when the 35-year-old visited a local restaurant with his family including his wife and children.

Although, the local Police escorted him later on from the crowd. Talking about the game, he is currently contracted with the renowned French football club Paris Saint-Germain. The contract is about to end on the 30th of June 2023 but an extension is also expected in the contract as per the reports.
