Marnus Labuschagne scored 79 runs off 151 balls against the Proteas in the first innings of the third Test
Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the 40th over. Marnus Labuschagne was batting while Marco Jansen was bowling. On the fifth delivery of that over, Labuschagne edged the ball, and Simon Harmer took the catch at slips. The Proteas started to celebrate but the batter was not sure whether it was clearly taken or not.
The on-field umpire also sent the decision to the third umpire with a soft signal of out. Then, in the replays, it was seen that the ball was touching the ground without Harmer's fingers under it. Thus, Labuschagne survived that controversial decision as the umpire found enough evidence to overturn the soft signal. Finally, the batter got out after scoring 79 runs off 151 balls, including 13 fours.
Speaking of Australia’s performance on day one, they scored 147 runs for two wickets in 47 overs. David Warner scored 10 runs off 11 balls, including two fours. Marnus Labuschagne scored 79 run soff 151 balls. Usman Khawaja is still there unbeaten on 54* runs off 121 balls, including six boundaries. For the Proteas, Anrich Nortje took two wickets for 26 runs in 11 overs. However, due to the lack of light and rain threats, the match got called off after just 47 overs.
