Shubman Gill’s magnificent six off Wayne Parnell on the first ball of the 20th over ended up RCB’s campaign in the current season of the Indian Premier League 2023. With that loss, RCB got eliminated from the 16th edition of the tournament. Apart from that, these six smashed by Gill brought a lot of joy in another camp and that was the camp of Mumbai Indians.
As GT won by six wickets against RCB, it also cleared the way for Mumbai Indians’ qualification to the playoffs of this season. Earlier in the day, Mumbai Indians kept their hopes alive in the contention after defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last league match of the season.
Later on, the video showing the celebration of MI players after Shubman Gill’s six and Gujarat’s six-wicket win over RCB is also making rounds on social media with minutes of being shared by a Twitter user.

Talking about the playoff itinerary, the four-time champions Chennai Super Kings will lock horns with the defending champions Gujarat Titans in the first qualifier. Both teams will play this match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk tomorrow the 23rd of May from 7.30 PM. Later on, the five-time champions Mumbai Indians will take on the Lucknow Super Giants in the eliminator of the tournament at the same venue as the first qualifier on the 24th of May.
The losing team of the first qualifier will play against the winning side of the eliminator in the second qualifier to secure a place in the final to play against the winning team of the first qualifier.
The second qualifier of the IPL 2023 will be played on the 26th of May from 7.30 PM at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Whereas, the summit clash of the tournament will also be played at the NMS in Ahmedabad on the 28th of May from 7.30 PM.
