Former legendary Indian women’s skipper Mithali Raj, hung her boots from international cricket last year. Later on, she was called by the Gujarat franchise as a mentor for the upcoming first-ever edition of the Women’s T20 League. She will be there in the backroom staff of the Gujarat team for the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Notably, the Rajasthan-born batting legend is also a skilled dancer in the Indian dance form, “Bharatnatyam”. Taking note of the same, Gujarat didn’t miss a chance to remind the fans about this beautiful dancing skill of Mithali.

The franchise shared a video of Mithali Raj shaking her legs with amazing dance moves on the famous song current time, ‘Manhari Sukumari’. They captioned the video as, “When you realize it's WTL Month.”

The video is now making rounds on social media and getting loved by a lot of fans across social media.

Earlier, the former legendary Indian skipper also talked about her involvement in women’s cricket in a different capacity. She also talked about the growth of women’s cricket.

"Women's cricket is growing steadily, and this kind of impetus will undoubtedly encourage young women to consider taking up cricket professionally," said Mithali Raj in a media release.

"I believe that the high-impact participation of corporates will help hasten the process of eventually bringing more glory to India. This level of influence can help strengthen the sporting ecosystem, and enhance opportunities for women athletes,” he added later.

Speaking of the tournament, Gujarat have announced the star Australian wicketkeeper-batter Beth Mooney as the captain of the team ahead of the first season of the tournament; Indian star Sneh Rana will be her deputy in the tournament. The team will start their campaign in the tournament opener against the Mumbai opener.
