On 23 October 2022, team India began their 20-20 World Cup campaign in Melbourne against Pakistan. After losing the last World Cup match against the Men in Green, both Indian fans and players were looking for a better performance this time around. However, the Men in Blue emerged victorious by four wickets.

In that match, Virat Kohli won the player of the match award for his match-winning knock. His innings ensured that India snatched a nail-biter from the jaws of defeat. Now, a video went viral where Pakistani pacer, Mohammad Amir was seen with huge praise for the former Indian skipper.

Speaking of the video, Mohammad Amir was praising the former Indian skipper for his knock at the MCG. After his masterclass at the MCG, Amir said: “Main kiu kehta hun ki Virat mera favourite hain? Is era ka woh best hai. Uska koi comparison nahi hai. Kiuki maine bhi usko bowling ki hui hai.”

“Jis tarah se uska temperament hai, jis tarah se uska mindset hai uske work ethics aur phir pressure ko jis tarah woh handle karta hai, I don’t think so ki koi dunia  mein is time pe batter itne pressure ko is tarah handle karta hoga,” Amir added. Mohammad Amir also said: “Aur log usko pata nahi comparison karne suru kar dete hain different batters ke saath. Uska koi comparison hi nahi hai. I think yeh uski one of the best T20I inning hogi. Usne khud kaha bhi hai. Aur, out of nowhere dekhie nah, usne Pakistan ke muh se game china hai aise. Aur yeh bade player ki nishani hai.”

Speaking about that match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first. They scored 159 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. But, India chased it down on the last delivery of the match. Virat Kohli scored 82* runs off 53 balls, at a strike rate of 154.71. He hit six fours and six fours in the innings.
