Mohammed Siraj, on Monday, made his county debut with the Warwickshire team. The star Indian pacer had a dream debut against Somerset as he picked up a four-wicket haul for his team on day one itself. However, the wicket that stood out was that of Pakistan's star batter, Imam Ul-Haq.

In the 10th over of the game, Siraj dismissed the opener. He bowled a good length delivery outside the off-stump, which Imam tried to cut in the point region. However, the ball took an edge of his bat and landed in the hands of wicketkeeper, Michael Burgess. Additionally, Siraj took his first county cricket wicket with this strike. Warwickshire's official Twitter handle posted the video of his wicket.

After that, George Bartlett and wicketkeeper James Rew were both dismissed by Siraj in quick succession. Lewis Gregory somewhat did the job for Somerset with an unbeaten 60 off 93, but Siraj bagged his fourth wicket to hurt Somerset as Warwickshire made a strong start in their fight in Division Two. Warwickshire would hope to bowl out Somerset early on Day 2 and gain a sizable first-innings lead after reducing Somerset to 182/8.

Siraj, a natural ball swinger, has played 26 matches across all formats for India while claiming 56 wickets. He has taken 403 wickets overall in 207 career games, 194 of which came in first-class cricket. Siraj's recent red-ball performance has been dismal, with just 7 wickets in the last three Tests, including the one against England at Edgbaston in July where he allowed runs to be scored at an economy rate of 5.73 and 6.53 over the course of two innings.

"I can't wait to join up with the Bears squad. I have always enjoyed playing in England with India and I’m excited to experience County Cricket. Edgbaston is a world-class stadium and the atmosphere it created this year for the Test was special. I am really looking forward to making it my home in September and hopefully helping the Bears end the season well," Siraj said after joining Warwickshire.
