Former Indian Cricket captain MS Dhoni earned an immense reputation for his brilliant work on the cricket field. Now, he is also showing off his skills on the golf course. The former India captain was invited to the 'Kapil Dev - Grant Thornton Invitational 2022' golf tournament by legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.

The event posted a video on social media showing Dhoni playing golf. The fact that Dhoni used his batting skills on the golf course added to the excitement. The wicketkeeper-batter swung the golf stick to take a shot in the same way he does when batting, trying to hit big hits.

Dev, who was also present at the event, had previously shared a photo with Dhoni. He captioned the photo, "When cricketers turn golfers." Dhoni and Kapil Dev are the only Indian captains to have won the 50-over World Cup. While Dev led India to their first World Cup victory in 1983, Dhoni led the team to their second World Cup victory in 2011 on home soil. Dhoni was also the captain when India won the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.

Both Dev and Dhoni were in attendance earlier this month to watch the US Open quarterfinals between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. Kapil and Dhoni were spotted in the Arthur Ashe Stadium stand, watching the five-set thriller between third seed Alcaraz, who won the title, and 11th seed Sinner.

While Kapil Dev represented India from 1978 to 1994, Dhoni began his international career in 2004 and retired in 2020. The latter, however, continues to play in the cash-rich league, The Indian T20 League, for Chennai. The 41-year-old confirmed that he will don the yellow jersey for the 2023 season as well.

This, however, is expected to be the veteran cricketer's last season with the team. He may take up a coaching or mentor position with the same team. It will be interesting to see how he slips into those shoes.
