Watch: MS Dhoni tries his hand in shooting and lawn tennis in Ranchi

Former India skipper MS Dhoni was seen trying his hand in shooting and lawn tennis in Ranchi stadium. Earlier, this week, Dhoni was seen practicing his batting in the nets for the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. Last year, he hinted that this season would his last as a player. The former India skipper was retained by Chennai ahead of the player retention last November.

Last month, the 40-year-old was seen at the Chennai airport. It was reported that he came to the city to discuss the auction strategy with the team management. Meanwhile, the separate videos of Dhoni playing lawn tennis and practicing shooting have gone viral on social media. During shooting practice, the wicketkeeper batter was seen in the old Indian team kit. In the lawn tennis video, he was seen playing the doubles.

Dhoni is the player who has captain the Chennai in every season of the ITL. However, his team was suspended for seasons 2016 and 2017 on counts of spot-fixing and betting charges from the then team principle Gurunath Meiyappan. Teams such as Hyderabad, Bangalore, Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Kolkata, and Mumbai have been led by different players over the years but Chennai has stuck with MS Dhoni and has reaped benefits for the same.

The next best is former Bangalore and India skipper Virat Kohli. Kohli has captained Bangalore in 140 games, won 64, and lost 69.
