An old video of MS Dhoni clarifying the rumours of a rift between Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan has gone viral over the internet. Many rumours of a tight situation between the two veteran cricketers in 2014 during India's tour of Australia made the headlines.
In a press conference, the then captain MS Dhoni had clarified that there was no problem between the two. He made hilarious comments about how Virat stabbed Dhawan and that some movie studio should make a film out of it.
"Actually that was the case. Virat used a knife. He stabbed Shikhar, who just recovered out of that, then we pushed him to bat. These are all stories. Marvel, maybe Warner Bros or somebody should pick up this and make a nice movie out of it," Dhoni said.
"If somebody from the team has actually told you this, it’d be interesting if you could give us the name. Because his imagination is really brilliant and he should be working for one of the movie companies," he added.
"He doesn’t deserve to be in our dressing room, because he has entirely created something that has not been there at all. Stuff like that makes good stories for the tabloid and maybe it helps them sell it. As far as the reality is concerned, there’s been nothing like that," he concluded.

During India's tour of Australia in 2014, there were rumours that Kohli and Dhawan got into a fight in the dressing room, and things got so bad that they had to be separated by then-team director Ravi Shastri.
In the meantime, MS Dhoni has retired from international cricket, but Virat and Shikhar continue to play for India. More recently, the 31-year-old has taken a rest for India's tour of the West Indies. In the absence of certain senior players, on the other hand, Dhawan has been named captain of the ODI side.
