Ahead of the 20-20 World Cup, all captains attended a media interaction in central Melbourne on 15 October 2022. After winning both the home T20I series against Australia and South Africa, Rohit Sharma was there for the media interaction. Pakistan skipper, Babar Azam was also there.
Apparently, he came to the event after winning the T20I tri-series in New Zealand on 14 October 2022. During that event, both captains got involved in an interactive conversation. However, West Indies skipper, Nicholas Pooran was sitting between them and his reaction during their conversation went viral.

“Rohit Sharma is older than me.” - Babar Azam about the Indian skipper
Speaking of the video, reporters asked Rohit Sharma about what exactly he and Babar Azam talks about. The Indian skipper said: “We all talk about our families and all. We talk about life, what new car did you buy. That’s all we talk about.”
When reporters asked Babar Azam about Rohit, he said: “Rohit Sharma is older than me. I try to take as much experience as possible from him as he has been playing for a long time.” During that funny conversation, the West Indies skipper had absolutely no clue as he was sitting in between them silently. Fans loved his priceless reaction as he was seen with a confused face. However, both Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam opened up about their team and some players.
About Jasprit Bumrah’s absence and Mohammed Shami’s inclusion, Rohit said: “The World Cup is important, but his career is more important. He is 27-28, we can’t take risks. He has a lot of cricket left in him. Shami will practice with the team. Shami is very positive, his recovery has been good. He has done 3-4 bowling sessions. Everything is going with Shami.” On the other hand, Babar added that both Fakhar Zaman and star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi are fit and ready to play in the upcoming mega event. Both Pakistan and India will kick off the tournament by facing each other on 23 October at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
